Using Lie Detector Tests in New York
The use of lie detector tests by employers in New York is subject to these state rules.
Employers may not require that an employee or job applicant submit to a psychological stress evaluator examination.
In addition, employers may not administer such a test or utilize the result of such a test within or outside the state of New York.
All provisions of the polygraph testing law pertaining to employers apply to their agents and representatives.
