Jury Duty Leave Rules in California

California employers must provide employees with leave for jury duty in accordance with these state rules.

California employers may not discharge an employee for taking time off to serve on an inquest or trial jury or to appear as a witness in court if the employee gives reasonable notice to the employer that he or she is required to serve.
