Employers in Nevada must conform with these state rules relating to the employment of minors.

In Nevada, employers may not employee minors under the age of 14 without the written permission for the employment signed by the judge of the district court of the county of the child's residence or signed by a juvenile master, referee or probation officer authorized to sign the permit.

Employment Certificate Exceptions

Exceptions exist for:

  • farm work;
  • housework; or
  • employment as a performer.
