Louisiana employers must comply with these state rules regarding nursing in the workplace.

Louisiana allows mothers to breastfeed their infants in any public accommodation, including workplaces that are also public accommodations.

Any direct or indirect act or practice of exclusion, distinction, restriction, segregation, limitation, refusal, denial or any other act of differentiation or preference in the treatment of a mother breastfeeding her infant is a discriminatory practice in connection with public accommodations.
