Employers in South Carolina must comply with these state requirements when making the final wage payment to terminated employees.

In South Carolina, separated employees must be paid no later than 48 hours after separation or no later than the next regular payday, which may not exceed 30 days.

In the case of a dispute over the amount claimed due, the amount conceded as due must be paid on the regular payday.
