Employers in Hawaii are subject to the following state disability insurance tax rules.

Coverage: Any business having at least one employee during the current calendar year

Employer Tax Rate: Employer contributes difference based on withholding rate

Withholding Rate: Half the cost of providing the specified benefits, up to a maximum of 0.5% of the employee's weekly wages; $4.61 maximum per week for 2013 (0.5% of $921.78)

Taxable Wage Base: $921.78 maximum weekly for 2013
