Smartphones and tablets are becoming a bigger part of small businesses every day. To accommodate Android users, Intuit has lunched QuickBooks Mobile for Android, now providing mobile access to the more than 4 million users of QuickBooks Pro, Premier, and Online. “As the demand for mobile access continues to accelerate, we’re working to give customers to solutions they need most so they can save time and make money wherever their business takes them,” said Dan Wernikoff, vice president and general manager of Intuit’s Financial Management division. The benefits of using QuickBooks mobile for Android include constant connection to sales and business information, checking balances and creating estimates on-the-go, invoicing on job sites, and automatically syncing information between QuickBooks and QuickBooks Mobile. Also newly released on the Android apps market from Intuit is the mobile banking app for BankAtlantic, a Florida-based bank. The app offers small business owners and customers the technology to view account balances, view recent transactions, transfer funds, and get GPS directions to the nearest branch or ATM all on their Android device. Jarrett Levan, CEO of BankAtlantic says the free app will help the bank adjust to the mobile world and it will give its customers a feature they want and deserve.
