Jury Duty Leave Rules in Nebraska

Nebraska employers must provide employees with leave for jury duty in accordance with these state rules.

In Nebraska, it is unlawful to discharge an employee or cause the employee to lose wages, vacation or sick leave benefits because of absence for jury duty if the employee gives the employer reasonable notice.

An employer may reduce the employee's pay by the amount equal to compensation, other than expenses, paid by the court for jury duty.
