Employers in Minnesota must conform with these state rules relating to wage and hour recordkeeping requirements.

Every employer in Minnesota must keep, for a period of at least three years, the following:

  • the name, address and occupation of each employee;
  • the rate of pay and the amount paid each pay period; and
  • the hours worked of each employee.
