Filed under Office & HR.

Employers in South Carolina must conform with these state rules relating to wage and hour recordkeeping requirements.

Employers in South Carolina must retain records for three years, containing the following information:

  • the names and addresses of all employees;
  • the wages paid each payday; and
  • deductions made.

Employers' wage payment records may be inspected and reproduced by the Commissioner of Labor and authorized designees at reasonable times in order to determine whether employers are in compliance with the South Carolina wage payment law.
