These assets are exempted from a state court or bankruptcy proceeding in Wyoming.
Homestead: Real property occupied by the debtor up to $20,000. Joint owners may double. Spouse or child of deceased owner may claim homestead exemption. Property held as tenancy by the entirety may be exempt against debts owed by only one spouse.
Pensions and Retirement Benefits: Private and public retirement funds and accounts for criminal investigators, highway officers, county employees, firefighters, police officers, public employees and game and fish wardens. Personal Property: Bedding, furniture, household articles and food up to $4,000 per person in the home. Bible. Schoolbooks and pictures. Burial plot. Clothing and wedding rings needed, up to $2,000. Pre-paid funeral contracts. Motor vehicle to $5,000.
Tools of Trade: Library and implements of professional up to $4,000, or tools, motor vehicle, implements, team and stock in trade up to $4,000.
Miscellaneous: Business partnership property.
Wages: Greater of 75% of weekly disposable earnings or 30 times federal minimum wage. Earnings of National Guard members, and wages of inmates on work release.
Public Benefits: Unemployment compensation. Workers' compensation. AFDC. General assistance. Crime victims compensation.
